I’m on Rails.

Modulo a rather unexpected crashing of the OSX UI when I typed ‘sudo kill 1’ by accident – it *really* shouldn’t respect that (I was trying to kill background process 1, not process 1).

Lunch now.

Less that 48 hours from ‘is Rails any good’ to ‘I’m now “Neil on Rails”‘.

  During which time I worked a full day on something else and had two nights sleep….I can see Rails could be compared to crack for webmonkeys, its instant gratification, no nonsense, the first ones free.

Looks like its quite good for adhoc database stuff, especially for things which are essentially database but need a bit of web-ish UI.
