A digital misfit

I fear they might have pulled my SMTP access after my address mailout…anyone got a mailserver I can use?

Or it might just be the service is out for routine maintanance but theres no way I can tell ‘cos all the status info is Japanese :(

Or maybe I need to pay for a POP account before they give me SMTP access back.

  1. I got a message from my hosts saying about a published Cisco flaw, and planned downtime this weekend throughout their network. They also said this would happen to other ISPs. FYI. I’ve forwarded you the mail.

    • OK thanks! I’ll try again later, but I’m getting 554 Service Not Available messages, not sure if that means its not available to me or just not available at all.

  2. I doubt I’ve got a static IP address, I’m ‘dialling up’ through the DoCoMo 3G packet service (not IPv6). Having said which Orange routed all of their GPRS through a single IP on the way out, but opening up to that meant opening up for all on the Orange GPRS network (or some subset of it).

I’m using Eudora which’ll give its broken EHLO of something like neil.hopcroft.org.uk if thats any help?
