  1. I run a SIP/Voip account for just the kinds of this is aimed at, but I guess if you just need it short term thats not a bad plan…like the idea of disposability

  2. What is a false identity?

    By which I mean, if all you are doing is publishing a means for someone to get a hold of you its not a false identity, it may not be the same identity as you give to people you trust but that doesn’t make it false.

  3. This is something which has gotten confused by many people nowadays – identity isn’t really the right tool for this job, its something understood within a governmental or organisational hierarchy, in that context it maps to authority fairly well.

    In the real world we don’t care who you are as long as we know your money is good. Or know you are old enough to buy beer. Or are the person who placed that personal ad.

    Identity is only any use where an audit trail is maintained, where there is a potential for after-the-fact repercussions if something wasn’t right.
