  1. Homebrew phones…

    … haven’t I been rambling about the Telit GSM modules for a while :)

    (The idea of making custom phones could be interesting, and as long as you’re using a proper chipset to do it shouldn’t (I imagine) be too problematic in terms of damaging the network.

    I suspect most people won’t have the technology to miniaturise as much as the commercial manufacturers. But that’s not why you’d do it!

      Indeed, there are ways to do it properly, but they didn’t strike me as the kind of guys who would want to do that.

  2. …and they’re nearly all going to be redundant. The country is going to be taken over by a mob of Elvii with a fire in their hearts and too much time on their hands. Its the beginning of the end.

    …wonder if theres an Elvis union? If you can get Elvis insurance? Whether my Elvis detector still works?
