A digital misfit

Grrr…furious in the general direction of O2…when I signed up for their service they said “We’ll give you this bolton free for six months” to which I said OK. What they didn’t mention was that they’d double my phone bill once the six months was over, without telling me or checking if I was actually using the phone. And then decide I was on a 24 month contract when all the paperwork I can find says 12 (I thought I agreed to 18 when I ordered it so was happy about 12).

Anyone else find them horrendously difficult to deal with?

  1. Yeah, I wouldn’t mind but until last month the only calls I’d ever made with it were to their customer service line to confirm that they weren’t going to cut me off for non-payment having paid three days before the date of the red bill.

    Hohum.

  2. They have ‘done me a special favour’ and put me down to the cheapest they can – which I’ll believe when I see it.

  3. Yes, well I was about to….but thought I’d give ’em a go and it worked out cheaper for the deal the told me, only now they’ve changed the deal and it is *considerably* more expensive.

No 3G, not much chance in the near-ish future either, and I’ve not had much luck getting their GPRS working either (not that I’ve bothered that much).
