A digital misfit

  1. The forklift safety video is superb. I saw this a while ago (a year at least) and I still don’t know if it’s a pisstake or real.
What makes it seem real is that the narrator is the same who does “Der 7. Sinn” (the seventh sense), which is an irregular series of shorts (only a few minutes) on traffic safety on German TV. It’s a classic (I think the first ran as early as the sixties, I’ve certainly seen black&white reruns).
The style of the video is the same, too.

Now that’s an odd assortment of cars…

    • Seems likely its a real video, but it must be more fun if you can understand it…

….and I’m so tempted by some of those cars – practical and sporty – I saw a Jag XJS estate once, which was probably more tempting that it should have been. And the Rapport Forte was up for auction recently.

      • The commentary is very matter-of-factly (only have heavy machinery serviced by qualified personell etc.) but the classy prosthetics/SFX make it sound incredibly deadpan.

If I’m bored at work tomorrow and can get away with it, I might go and transcribe it into English.

    • Picky picky – it was posted for its technical importance not its playability. Its written entirely in Javascript, not that I’ve actually pulled it apart yet to figure out how it works.
