  1. Superb! I was kind of brought up on G&S[1], and there’s a long-standing tradition of rejigging bits of the lyrics to make them relevant to the current political situation.

    Reminds me of an idea I had a while back about doing a punk/G&S crossover, perhaps with some assistance from Messrs. Porter[2] & Otway.

    [1] Not to be confused with G&T – I had a very sober childhood (well, apart from the odd glass of watered-down sherry Sunday lunchtimes…)
    [2] Sir Joseph Porter was of course one of the characters in HMS Pinafore.

    • Yeah, its good stuff isn’t it?

      Like the idea of Punk/G&S crossover…seems like the kind of thing that’d work with Dresden Dolls – who describe themselves as Brechtian Cabaret Punk, or something….mind, I’ve only heard Girl Anachronism, so it might be that their other stuff isn’t like that…one day I’ll get around to buying the album.
