  1. I shall be there, and I’m happy to act as an assembly point, given that I shall be at the East Stage in a pretty yellow waistcoat going quietly insane all day … :-)

  2. As long as it’s not raining heavily, I will be going.

Plan is to get somewhere near the Midsummer Common to watch the parade (anyone know the route?) and take some photos and then on to the Fair proper.

The music programme will only be available on the day so I don’t know where I’ll be when as the music usually is the main attraction for me.

You can always txt me on my mobile.

    • I didn’t find any No2ID people, though I saw some of their flyers on the ground.

Its a shame, in some ways, that they’re associating themselves with the Green Party, that sends the wrong message. I know theres a lot of crossover in the active members of both, but ID is going to be a bigger issue over the short term for more people than are interested in Green politics.

      • In this case, was a convienient way of saving £150+organisation of getting their own stand. The national campaign is pretty party-independant. Amusingly, the BNP are also against ID cards, and we *really* don’t want to associate with them.

        • For sure, Green is better than BNP, and I’m sure there are some good logistical reasons for it, but my worry would be the association of anti-ID with Green politics in the mind of the public at large. Of course, not having found the place I don’t know what the actual layout was…there were a few Green-ish people hanging around all on their own by a big lamp-pole but they seemed to be selling their early 70s prog rock vinyl rather than particularly campaigning about anything.

Personally I don’t care ‘cos I’m for both of them, though I do sometimes think the Greens are a little too far along the crazy-hippies-wanting-to-stop-the-world path.
