    How can anyone sane think it’s a good idea to do that kind of thing? If they had died, they would be prime candidates for this year’s Darwin Awards.

    In my day, we used to paint old broomsticks or other bits of wood bright red or blue (no fancy lightsaber colours then) and fight with those, which wasn’t very clever either as it usually ended in tears when knuckles or shins were hit. Nothing more serious than a few bruises (and scolding by our respective mothers), though.

      Yeah, and thats all part of growing up, figuring out what hurts and what doesn’t, and how things react to being hit. But what possessed them to put petrol in flourescent tubes…the mind boggles.
