A digital misfit

If you wanted to feed ducks in north cambridge, where would you go?

Feeling somewhat guilty about generating hundreds of slices of stale bread for landfill and considering better uses for them – which I guess is really the problem I’m trying to solve.

    • I’m a touch fussier than I should be about my bread, so there are some smaller loaves but I’d end up in the same situation but having eaten less of them. Besides the problem is less about money than guilt about throwing out something that could potentially be used by wildlife, I’m guessing that it’ll end up feeding pigeons if it goes to landfill (and yes, it probably could go in the organic bin but I’m still not confident they’re actually ever emptying that)

  1. Jesus Green, by the bridge from thingummybob road. Would be cool to see a goth frightening the hordes of small children and doting grandparents ;-)

  2. there are ducks at the science park. however, i thought that you weren’t meant to feed bread to birds as it just makes them ill as they can’t digest it? there is a sign to that effect on jesus green which everyone duly ignores.

  3. fed ducks last year in the streams behind the posh collages.. S even had a few ducklings come up and cuddle next to her til the ducklings mom told htem off… i have a photo somewhere..

  4. Small bird population isn’t suffering around here, theres hundreds of ’em. And I can’t find ducks for love-nor-money….actually, thats not quite true, I found one in a hedge today, but I don’t think it was having a good day.
