A digital misfit

Things to do before leaving Cambridge – I’m disappointed that nobody suggested anything culturally attached to the city except punting…and you all stand on the wrong end here…

razornet — AUI?
dmh — Shooting is too good for ’em
necro_angel — I got a better plan…
toripink — Mmmm pancakes
dalglir — Yup, we should organise a group trip sometime
lark_ascending — That sounds like a good plan, when?
daevid — Its a bit of a trek, but I’ll see what I can do (and not particularly related to my location in Cambridge)
redkitty23 — Do you think he’s still upset with me? …also not particularly dependant upon location
rathavensmiff — You know me better than that

  1. Humph! I wrote you several culturally relevant suggestions, but LJ seems to have eaten my comment. I’ll try again.

Visit the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.

Pass Reality Checkpoint at about 3 am on a foggy morning.

Dine at Efe’s, on King Street.

Wander about Wandlebury, preferably dressed as your favourite roleplaying character and climb some trees. Look at the remains of T.C. Lethbridge’s semi-mythical hill figures.

    Climb Castle Hill at dawn.

    Go to Strawberry Fair. http://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/strawberryfair/2005/

    • Dammit – for the eaten post, I wonder where it got to :(

An excellent list of things to do, thank you.

Reality Checkpoint sounds good – wheres that?

      • It’s the lamppost in the middle of Parker’s Piece. You should find the name written on one side, and usually somebody has carved “it’s an illusion” into the other. Many misspent nights of my youth ended with a trip past Reality Checkpoint.

You could also go down Mill Road looking for Sid Barrett, but that’s another story…

    • Sweet or savory?

For sweet definitely the traditional lemon and sugar, but nearly any variation including fruit, cream and sugar would be nearly as good.

Savory is a bit more difficult, though, it turns into a burrito or something if I’m not careful.
