I really shouldn’t listen to Mesh, should I?

How do you get closure?

  1. You cut out the Mesh, delete the photos, clear out the reminders and fucking ignore the whole thing. Next time you stumble across them it’s not so bad; lather, rinse and repeat. Eventually you find it’s not hideously painful any more, and you can think about it level-headedly; which is often the point at which you realise something new, or manage a friendly conversation instead of glaring or running away.

  2. With very very great difficulty.
Mainly, I guess, by getting on with your life while you’re waiting for closure to happen. After a while, you don’t think about it so much. And eventually, it happens while you’re not looking.
