A digital misfit

I’ve been thinking about holidays. More specifically I was poking around at Expedia to see what they could do for getting me to Fiji next month, but I hadn’t reckoned on 40 hours of plane-y badness, thats rather more than my jetlag addiction can sensibly cope with. So maybe I need to go somewhere that isn’t beyond the other side of the world. Obvious candidates are Vancouver, Montreal, Copenhagen and Munich, all of which are reasonably sensibly priced at the moment. But you lot are better travelled than I, so…

…clearly I’d be in danger of actually making a plan if I take any suggestions too seriously. So instead I’ll just end up jumping in my car and driving the wilds of Lincolnshire again, but its worth pondering some other possibilities on the offchance that a plan comes together.

  1. OMG a real PLAN???

Say it isn’t so or I shall expect the earth to implode immediately!!

But just do it.. travel.. anywhere you can. It is life affirming to withdraw foreign money from a local ATM.

Of course I’ll travel! Keeping an eye on easyjet for those ‘fly tomorrow back thursday’ style cheap deals, where it costs more to park your car for three days than fly halfway across Europe. Have to see what takes my fancy when I actually finish working….

  2. Expedia were only finding journeys that took 40 hours, probably with three changes or something. Concept is good, but just too much travelling, if I’m going to do that a RTW ticket is the way to go, they were after around 1500quid for the return.
