A digital misfit

2 Wheels Good, 4 Wheels Bad“…and other oddities.

“The vulnerable technology is used in more than six million key chain tags used for wireless gasoline purchases and in an estimated 150 million keys for newer vehicles built by at least three leading manufacturers.”

Doomed – “Each box comes with a host of plastic marines and monsters, dice and corridor cards, weapon tokens, wound markers and door boards with which two to four players can act out ultra-violent battles without the… er… violence.”…this looks tempting, as does Warcraft, the boardgame….

  1. Very nice pics that capture Cambridge very well. *browses more*
    Wow, this guy is good.

You know, I’m glad that my car is still mainly operated by a standard key…

Have heard mixed reviews of the Doom boardgame. just posted one and gave some interesting points about game balance (beasties vs. marines) and packaging. Of course, if you decide to get it, I’d be more than happy to playtest with you. :o)

    • Yeah, wish I could take pictures like that…making a railway line or a wheelie bin interesting is quite an art.

Still gotta play that Lego game…but no time at the moment, for the next couple of weeks at least.

      • Practice and an eye for perspective. There isn’t that much technical skill involved, it’s finding the subject and knowing how to capture it.

        • I practice when I can, things are a bit better now I’ve got a more sensible camera (previous one was a fixed lens, this at least has some concept of focus). Thing is that mostly I’m not in the mood for taking pictures, but when I am I want the take them *now*, not have to decide to take my camera with me, so I need something that just fits in my pocket so its always there.

          • I know exactly what you mean.
With my new toy I have no equipment excuses anymore, I only need to actuall drag myself out of the house…

          • Yeah, I found photography in general much easier in Tokyo, they’re very photo-literate there and theres no danger waving around an expensive camera, even in the most dangerous parts of town. Here, thats no so true, sadly. Still, I have got a few interesting shots, I try to capture the unusual things, I found a monument to a power station in the hills north of Tokyo, Kikko-chan couldn’t believe I wanted pictures of it.

I’ll try to get a few more online, sometime, now that I’ve got somewhere to put them….but thats on the list, after all the other urgent things I’ve got to do.
