A digital misfit

Today, on my walk to the office, I found some bollard polishers. I don’t remember seeing anyone cleaning them before, but I assume there is a long history of such undertakings by the highways agency. Good work, lads, keep ’em clean.

  1. I don’t care if the bollards itself are dirty but the cat’s eyes on them need to be clean so you can actually see them in the dark. Unlit street at night, possibly in rain or snow, no bollards/side markings = bad.

  2. There were some on the corner of my road in Oxford, very freaky ‘cos they flash at 50Hz leaving a mouse-trail across your vision as you drift around the corners.
