A digital misfit

Why didn’t I find this while I was living in Oxford :(

On show, the best from Dennis, Bristol, AEC reliance among others. No Routemasters as far as I can see from the list, unless they had another name too?

    • Theres a surprisingly large number of bus geeks out there…indeed, it somewhat runs in my family, a couple of generations back they ran a bus company…

  1. Wigan has a lot to answer for, the rugby mentality there is deeply scary, and the pier isn’t is as exciting as it should be. It is also the place responsible for my first step onto the slippery slope of online gambling and debauchery[0] – thankfully I was on the winning side, so it all came good (ish) in the end – but the addiction remains.

[0] not to mention wireless IP when 1Mbps networks were fast and PCMCIA still stood for People Cant Memories Computer Industry Acronyms, and there were two industry standard chipsets available, but our device[1] used neither.

  2. Your a bus geek for the pleasure of it ???

Hmm…And i thought i was sad….Seeing as we make manual wheel chair ramps, rear engine doors and now even flooring for the bus market, i’ve been getting rather spoddy about buses.
