Die Fabrik on thursday, which makes a bit more sense if you say it in a german accent, I’m sure, was an interesting mix of a load of music I’d like to get to know more about. We arrived, apparently, three quarters of the way through a note (or was it a chord?). But things soon livened up and there were some decent slabs of angry noise served up by DJ Durge, while the ambient end of the range isn’t so much my thing.
Last night I met with Tracey, who is over from Tokyo for one of her friends weddings, we went for a curry with a few of the other guests. Poor thing wasn’t feeling too good after spending too much time flying and not enough sleeping, so she had to leave us to it. Which was a little strange, since I have nothing in common with her friends except knowing her (nice enough people, but they’ve got other things on their minds apart from getting to know some near random stranger, so I make my escape at the earliest feasible point). Upset I didn’t get much of a chance to talk to her, hoping she’s had a good day at the wedding today and can find some time for me tomorrow.
