A digital misfit

  1. Stupid

They say the sales of VCRs have gone down as opposed to DVD players. Well yes, because everone has one, i.e. the market is saturated.
My main reason for having a video cassette recorder is to record things on TV. Standalone DVD and HD based recorders are still a lot more expensive.

Currently I have an VCR (for recording and watching videos) and a DVD player for watching films and before DVD/HD recorders come down to below the 80 quid mark (what I paid for my VCR at the time), they won’t be too popular.

Yes, there’s SkyPlus and TiVo etc. but those are expensive services as well and you can’t take a copy elsewhere (unless on VHS tape, of course).

  2. Thats still available? Woah….well, I’ll be finishing sometime mid january, whats the contract/permanent situation with that? mail me and maybe we can discuss a little more…
