A digital misfit

Can anyone see this? I’m getting access denied, as expected. What is so great on there that us, non-americans, are not allowed to see it?

This disturbs me too – we don’t torture people, just send them somewhere where they might…

As does this – $25,000 each, thats pretty good going, wonder when that’ll be paid back?

  1. More worryingly its a fiat currency too, so if they start having money problems they just increase the money supply, effectively devaluing the dollar, which makes it even more expensive for their citizens to go abroad so they lose touch even more with the way the rest of the world is, and they end up on a downward spiral. I’m no economist but that sounds pretty dismal.

    • the bush administration doesn’t really think americans should leave america. they might discover what really goes on in the world that way…
i mean, the man didn’t have a passport or leave the US until recently…

    • Er, all sensible currencies are fiat currencies.

In general, having a big national debt isn’t too much of a problem as long as the country’s economy is also growing. If the debt grows slower than the GDP then it proportionally shrinks. It’s like any business borrowing: you hope that the benefits you get from having the money now are greater than the cost of repaying it.
