A digital misfit

‘remote interaction technology’

“As for me, well, I’m enjoying the novelty of it. I’m on the road as I write this week’s column, and I can honestly say that the Sinulator(not worksafe) beats the pocket rocket hands down, even if I am getting strange looks from the other Starbucks patrons.”

  1. Nice to know it’s here at last.

I predict that there will soon be people using the devices *while in the same room as each other*.

the definition of “infidelity” may need updating mind you…

    • I think its up to the participants in a relationship to create their own definitions of infidelity, this just makes it a little more complicated.

I’m just worried, as ever, about how you define the protocol, how you test it, what kinds of interoperability problems you might encounter, whether it got official USB certification. And, if so, whether it becomes a device alongside which other devices must work to be certified.

      • As these jobbies become more sophisticated, people will also have to worry about safety and control: rape may become a possibility but the legal definition may be tricky.

Sorry, I may be taking the subject more seriously than you intended! That’s what you get for talking to pedants…

        • Imagine the possibilities for viruses…no, I think its a very serious topic and we should ask our MPs to raise some of these questions in the house, we wouldn’t want the law to be unprepared for such a technological direction.
