A digital misfit

It occurred to me today that the dancing Elvises of Yoyogi-koen have probably not encountered the Leningrad Cowboys. Which I think is something of a shame, they would get on, I’m sure. I’m getting quite addicted to ‘Leningrad’ (“…they’re going to name my hometown Petersburg…”) and the video for ‘Happy being miserable’ has to be seen to be believed.

    • That shouldn’t surprise me, should it? Its like being surprised that the Moomins turn up on Nokia quiz nights…

You like 7610? You seen one irl yet? What about more general comments? Whats the thing that most annoys you about the 7650? (or anything else you’ve had a go with?)

      • not yet. very interested in lifeblog software on the pc.

7650 was just too big, but very nice once you installed a program to automatically unlock the keypad when you open the flip. 6600 is very good, but 10s video length is annoying.

as for features that i want but probably won’t get… i would like to be able to program my tivo at home from my phone, with full access to the program schedules and my settings.

          • you would have to hack into the tivo and see how to change its configuration files, and then add some software to enable remote IP connectivity, then make it support ethernet, then open your firewall… er, tricky i think!

incidentally, not so keen on the 3650-sytle 4-way rocker, i prefer the 6600 joystick.

          • Thats all Tivo end stuff, and, surely, nothing that wouldn’t yield to careful application of a pair of pliers and a bit of inginuity.
