Murder of Rosa Luxemburg

It seems Damian is working too much, so I went shopping today instead of waiting around for him…hopefully he’ll escape later.

Todays find was a couple of JPunk&NewWave compilations, featuring none other than a Rosa Luxemburg, which now saves me from asking out loud the obvious ‘who was Rosa Luxemburg?’ when I don’t really care anyway. I still don’t know why she was (they were) murdered, the music doesn’t seem bad enough to warrant death, so it must be something else.

Disturbingly Helen Love’s ‘Big big kiss’ makes more sense now too, I knew they had at least some JPunk influence.

  1. In the spirit of education, and even though you didn’t ask, she was either high-ranking or in charge of the Communist Party in Germany during the Weimar Republic, and she helped lead an unsuccessful Communist Revolution.

    • Ah, that makes more sense, it seemed a little unnecessary to murder an entire obscure JRock band.

Theres some AutoMod on here as well, so hopefully I’ll get to understand a bit more about the posipunk movement too.
