  1. A Late Enquiry

Hey Nehru-San, what’s your opinion of Iain Sinclair. He’s on my list of authors to read: as I think he’s got a similar pyscho-geographical bent as Alan Moore (who is a hairy literary-deity to me!)

I know nothing of his background, I bought the book on the strength of its title. Reading it to discover he got the idea from Gimpo (the famous lunatic I first encountered as a coconspirator of Zodiac Mindwarp – as an aside, you gotta read ‘fucked by rock’, Zodys autobiography, pure rock and roll) and then walked the Lea Valley with Bill Drummond was an excellent surprise.

As yet, I’m not that far through the book – about 1/5th – and he’s only just gotten to the M25 itself. Its a good read, pointing out all kinds of things I’d never seen before. But I’m not sure about his hairy deity status though, since that will always be secondary to such subject matter.

The has a copy too, and might have a different view on it since he has more of a background with Alan Moore.
