    – and there are the walking DEC hard drives as well, but I don’t think thye played a tune.

    “ZX Magazine” back in the 80s had a program which would play “The Yellow Rose of Texas” on a ZX80.

    Ah, but the ZX80 had no sound, surely? But if you put it close to a radio, the modulated RFI from the processor was picked up[1]. I did run the program, and it did work. I didn’t spend much time composing on that.

    My next(!) composition really should feature some top Comptometer action; the beautiful carry ripple of all-9s; the zero bell; Ahhhh!
