There were a number of engines running on the two railways, here are Barbara Curwin and Lord Braybrooke, while the unit that pulled our train was Doris the diesel engine.

Trains at Colne Valley Railway
They have some trains running on the short line at Colne Valley Railway, we went on both of these and Nils loved it when he got to sit in the cab with the driver of the Diesel Multiple Unit.

We went to the Colne Valley Railway, where they make the most of a small section of track and single station.
Storm in St Ives
On our last evening in St Ives the town was hit by a storm coming in from the Atlantic. Sadly I couldn’t capture in a photograph the beauty of the sun setting over the mountainous waves.
