Neil Hopcroft

Gripsholms Slott is set on a small island near the city of Mariefred (though it doesn’t have the population of 10,000 needed to technically be a city in Sweden).

On the first proper day of spring we headed to the seaside of Saltsjöbaden, though the sun was out and it was a beautiful warm day the sea was still frozen over in places.

The ferry over to Lilla Stenby crosses while the lake around is frozen.

Asknäs is a small village on the island of Ekerö.

I went for another explore around Nacka Strand. Noticing this time that it must have been an old car works, with a similar feeling to the old Mini factory in Oxford.

We went to the architecture museum on Skeppsholmen, the boat was making a good subject for photographers.

We found some more backstreets in Gamla Stan, always more surprises.

We went to Steninge Slott again…heres some evidence I was actually there.

We went back to the small island of Norderön.
